I took a little extra time the other morning to enjoy the light filtered through watery clouds to write morning pages, and to catch up on some long overdue letter writing. I'm swooning over this yellow ochre color lately.
Today is the last day of summer, and the sun is trying to break through the heavy, heavy clouds that have released inches and inches of welcome rain on our parched ground.
This summer has not been full of time spent outside, nor have I seen a swimming hole, nor dipped more than my feet in any cool rivers. I sat at the side of just one mountain peak, and I'm beginning to feel the toll that too little time under the skies is taking. It's been the most intensive summer in my studio ever, and I'm looking forward to a little catch up time. The leaves are starting to drop and I noticed yesterday evening the canopies in forest park are beginning to glow with dots of lovely ochre.
Tell me about what you did this summer? I'm ready to live vicariously!
